Meet Tex *
Tex, short for “Text” is your mascot and guide through all things Denton READiculous Book palooza - a month long literacy intuitive and effort to support denton, texas’s local libraries & book stores in february.
The Emily Fowler Library Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports Denton Public Library's mission to "Build community by promoting lifelong learning, encouraging human connections, and sharing resources." The Foundation provides resources for services and enhancements above the library's annual budget provided by the City of Denton.
General gifts to the Emily Fowler Library Foundation support large-scale projects that benefit the Denton community. Specific gifts may be made to fund capital projects or library furnishings and equipment. Naming rights for library meeting rooms, collections, and buildings are also options for giving. Bequests are gratefully acknowledged at each library location.
2026 Beneficiaries
A support group for the library system in its service to the community, the Friends organization raises money to provide materials and equipment to improve and extend services. When you become a member of the Friends, you demonstrate your commitment to furthering the excellence in service of Denton Public Library. You join hundreds of other citizens who are equally committed and who want to do something tangible for the Library that means so much to them.
The Denton Public School Foundation is a non-profit 501(C)(3) corporation founded for the purpose of raising and providing support for the teachers and students of Denton ISD. Monies raised are invested and distributed through a competitive grant and scholarship program. Since 1995, the Foundation has awarded over $2.9 million in grants-to-teachers, staff scholarships and special program support to fund innovative classroom initiatives, advanced training and graduate hours; and over $935,000 in student scholarships to graduating Denton ISD seniors.
We believe that every child deserves a strong foundation and that teachers and staff are valued resources. We support quality programs that directly and positively impact student learning. With continued support we can achieve our goal of funding the many scholarships and innovative project requests that we receive each year.
